Hyper Spectral Imaging(HSI) is a method to capture an image beyond the visible spectrum. So each pixel has a spectral response from 300nm to 1100nm. Various existing imaging solutions engage prism based methods to capture the complete spectrum. These devices cost in the order of SGD 40,000, therefore are not widely available hence not widely used. This HSI images have a lot of application, from predictive care to plants to early detection of deceases, therefore to make this technology easily accessible we developed this low-cost HSI camera.
